We first met in the fall of 2017 during a study abroad trip to Costa Rica. What began as a shared adventure quickly turned into something more—late-night conversations, laughter under the stars, and an easy, natural connection that felt different from the start.
When we got back to Texas, our first official date was at the Dallas Museum of Art. Will wanted to impress Evann and show that he could be sophisticated and enjoy art, and it was also when Evann met Will’s parents for the first time (no pressure!).
From there, we tackled college life together, making it through both undergrad and veterinary school at Texas A&M. We became each other’s biggest supporters through the long nights, stressful exams, and everything in between. After Will’s graduation, we spent a year apart while he was living in New York starting his first job as a veterinarian. It was tough, but our relationship only grew stronger with the distance. We learned that love like ours could stretch across miles and still feel close.
The proposal happened on a rainy day at the Dallas Arboretum in December of 2023. Will pulled out a fake ring, and despite the weather and the soaked clothes, it was one of the happiest, most unforgettable moments of our lives (especially when she accidentally said ‘no’ at first).
In June of 2024, we moved to Fort Worth together after Evann graduated from veterinary school. It felt like the start of a brand-new chapter, one we’ve been dreaming about for years.
From Costa Rica to Texas, through late-night study sessions and long-distance phone calls, our story has been one of growth, laughter, and unwavering love. And now, we're so excited to celebrate the next step in our journey together. We're both so grateful to you, our community, for your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate the wedding with you soon!
